Presbyterian congregation is seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Manager. This position will be responsible for overall maintenance of all facilities and grounds, including a 55,000 square foot church building and an adjacent residential building.
Classification:
This position is currently budgeted as part-time at 30 hours per week. There may be an opportunity to expand the position to full-time at 40 hours per week. This role is eligible for vacation, sick leave and health insurance benefits. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, but occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
Primary Responsibilities:
Maintain church buildings, systems, and grounds.
Complete basic and minor repairs of in-house electric, plumbing, drywall, and painting needs.
Supervise maintenance and schedule inspections by outside contractors.
Develop, distribute and test plans for emergencies (e.g., fire, flood, power failures, etc.).
Oversee building security.
Work with Office Administrator to handle facility use requests and to control use of FCPC buildings by outside groups.
Provide onsite support to outside groups renting space in FCPC buildings.
Communicate facilities issues regularly with staff and Buildings & Grounds Team (B&G).
Utilize sustainable practices whenever practical to mitigate adverse environmental impacts.
Prepare and manage annual facility budget, in consultation with B&G team.
Qualifications:
Knowledge of methods, standard tools, materials, and equipment used in the maintenance of two older buildings with aging systems.
Ability to perform basic service repairs.
Experience soliciting bids, negotiating contracts, and managing contractors and maintenance personnel in conjunction with B&G.
Effective written and verbal communication skills including utilization of Office 365 applications.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Proactive problem-solving ability; self-motivated and self-directed.
Flexibility in scheduling work hours to provide facilities coverage as needed.
Must have personal transportation and be able to respond to emergencies in a timely manner.
Must be able to work independently to identify building priorities and complete necessary work in a timely manner and within the church budget.
Ability to document and maintain electronic records and files related to equipment, repairs, services and inspections.
Familiarity with commercial boiler systems is preferred.
Experience:
5 or more years of direct experience in maintenance and repair work with a building contractor or facilities management team desired.

Salary: $43,500.00 – $51,000.00 per year, commensurate with experience
Reporting Relationship:
The Facilities Manager reports to the Pastor as Head of Staff. Additionally, the Facilities Manager will present annual building and grounds budgets, monthly work progress reports and proposed maintenance expenditures to and receive assistance from the Building and Grounds Team.
