Missions

Throughout the year, we work on missions in our church family, surrounding communities and beyond our neighborhoods when we travel to another destination for one week each summer. Our summer mission trips for youth provide a cross-cultural experience for rising 6th graders through graduating high school seniors.

Climbing Kitchen Mesa, New Mexico

Through preparation, on-site reflection, and follow up, youth and their advisors: build a team, connect with God through spiritual exercises and devotionals, learn about cultural differences, explore God’s mission for the church and their surroundings, reflect on their experiences on their service, and apply what they learn back in their own settings.

Beginning in 2010-11, our summer mission trips will rotate on this cycle:

  • Summer 2011 - domestic destination within driving distance of our church
  • Summer 2012 - national destination
  • Summer 2013 - international destination

The cycle then starts over in 2014.
